Here's a little bit about the author and his blog in his own words:

"Hi, I'm Kellen, welcome to my blog about accounting and personal finance! This blog was previously hosted on AccountingElf(dot)com, so you may have read some of my posts there.

My posts on AccountingElf(dot)com covered my journey from accounting student to full-time auditor and tax accountant. I began posting during a winter internship with the Big 4 in 2009. I continued the saga of job finding the following autumn, after deciding that I wanted to go with a smaller firm.

I found a job in Fall 2009, but still had a couple of semesters to go on my Masters Degree. At this point, I also began studying for the CPA exam. For months, I detailed my study methods and results. (If you have any questions about the CPA exam, please don't hesitate to email me!)

Finally, October 2010 (just a few months ago) I began working full time at a public accounting firm. I decided that it was time for a change, and moved the blog to here: AccountantByDay(dot)com.

The idea behind this name is that I am now, every day, working as an accountant. However, I am not limited to this role, and I would like the opportunity to expand on what I do with my time outside of work too. Also, I have more to say about personal finance and goals these days, now that I'm earning a regular paycheck!"
